ŞEREFİYE SARNICI

- 1600 Yıllık Tarihin, Sanat ve Teknoloji ile Buluştuğu Yer

Yaklaşık 1.600 yıllık geçmişiyle İstanbul’un Tarihî Yarımada içerisinde bulunan en eski su yapılarından biri olan Şerefiye Sarnıcı’nın, mimari özelliklerinden yola çıkılarak 2. Theodosius (408 - 450) döneminde yapıldığı öngörülüyor.

Tarihte Büyük Saray’a su depolaması amacıyla yaptırılan; yaklaşık 24 metreye 40 metre bir alan üzerine inşa edilen ve tavan yüksekliği 11 metreyi bulan Şerefiye Sarnıcı’nın içinde 45 adet yelken tonoz ve 32 adet sütun bulunuyor.

İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi Kültür AŞ işletmesinde bulunan Şerefiye Sarnıcı ayrıca Türkiye’nin ilk 360° Projection Mapping sistemine sahip müzesi ve dünyada bu sistemin entegre edildiği en eski yapı. 1600 yıllık tarihî sarnıç, mekân algısının üç boyutlu tecrübe edebildiği ve bunu yaparken de hem Şerefiye Sarnıcı’nın hem de İstanbul’un su kültürünün izini sürebileceği bir deneyim sunuyor.

Mapping Show:

Dünyada 360 derece mapping sisteminin entegre edildiği en eski yapı olan Şerefiye Sarnıcı, ziyaretçilerine sıra dışı bir müzecilik anlayışı sunuyor. Sarnıcın mistik atmosferinde her gün yaşanan bu muhteşem görsel şölenin ilk seansı 09.00, son seansı ise 18.30 olarak her yarım saatte bir başlıyor ve gösterimler yaklaşık 10 dakika sürüyor.

Şerefiye Sarnıcı mapping gösterimleri TUCE Investment işbirliği ile gerçekleştiriliyor.

THE ŞEREFİYE (THEODOSIUS) CISTERN

- A Meeting Place for History, Art and Technology

Situated in the Historical Peninsula of Istanbul as one of the earliest examples of the water structures of the city with a history of 1600 years, the Şerefiye Cistern is believed to be built during the rule of Theodosius II (408-450) based on the architectural characteristics.

Built to store water for the Great Palace, the Şerefiye Cistern has 45 sail vaults and 32 columns on a 24m x 40m area with a ceiling up to 11 meters.

Operated by Istanbul Culture Co. of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, the Şerefiye Cistern is also the first Turkish museum and the oldest building of the world with the 360° Projection Mapping system. The 1600-years old cistern offers three-dimensional space perception and traces the water culture of both the Şerefiye Cistern and Istanbul.

Mapping Show:

As the oldest monument with the 360° mapping system, the Şerefiye Cistern presents an extraordinary museum approach to the visitors. Performed every day in the mystical atmosphere of the cistern, the spectacular show can be watched sessions between 09.00 and 19.00. The shows start hourly and run for around 10 minutes.

- Müze 09:00-19:00 saatleri arasında ziyarete açıktır. Biletleriniz yalnızca seçtiğiniz seans için geçerlidir.
- Kurumumuz Kültür Bakanlığı’na bağlı olmadığı için Müze Kart geçerli değildir.
- 65 yaş üstü ve 7 yaş altı girişi ücretsizdir.
- Kredi kartı ve nakit Türk Lirası geçerlidir. Döviz kabul edilmemektedir.
- Satın alınan biletler aynı gün içerisinde bir kez giriş hakkına sahiptir. Bilet iadesi yapılmamaktadır.
- Online indirimli bilet satın alan misafirlerin girişte kimlik göstermesi zorunludur.
- Engelli kimliği olan ziyaretçilere girişler ücretsizdir. Görme, bedensel, zihinsel ya da çocuk engellilere eşlik edenler; engelli refakatçi kartı olanlara girişler ücretsizdir. Kimlik gösterilmesi zorunludur.

- Sarnıç içerisinde diğer ziyaretçileri rahatsız etmeden fotoğraf ve video çekmek serbesttir. Profesyonel çekimler ve tripodla yapılan her türlü çekim yazılı izne tabidir.
- Sarnıç yönetimi, uygun görmediği kişileri içeri almama hakkına sahiptir.
- Güvenlik ve/veya kalabalık nedeniyle müze valiz-bavul ile ziyaret edilememektedir.
- Sarnıca yiyecek ve içecek alınmamaktadır.
- Sarnıç içerisinde elektronik sigara dahil sigara içilmesi kesinlikle yasaktır.
- Evcil hayvan ile giriş yasaktır.

* Ticket Rules
- The museum is open between 09:00 and 19:00. Tickets are valid only for the session that you want to choose.
- Since our institution is not affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Museum Pass is not valid.
- Entry is free for individuals aged 65 and over and for children under 7 years old.
- We accept Turkish Lira in cash and credit card payments. Foreign currency is not accepted.
- Purchased tickets allow for one entry on the same day. Ticket refunds are not available.
- Guests who purchase discounted tickets online must present identification upon entry.
- Entry is free for visitors with disabilities. Accompanying individuals for visually, physically, mentally, or child-disabled visitors with a disability companion card also have free entry. Identification is required.
- Veterans/martyrs and their first-degree relatives, Disability Card holders, and one accompanying person can visit the cistern for free (the accompanying person can enter with a person with a disability of 70% and above).
- Turkish Republic citizens who are Teachers, Students, Police, and Soldiers can benefit from discounted tickets upon presenting their IDs.
* Venue Rules
- Photography and videography inside the cistern are allowed without disturbing other visitors. Professional shoots and any kind of shooting with a tripod require written permission.
- The cistern management reserves the right to refuse entry to individuals it deems inappropriate.
- Due to security and/or crowd reasons, the cistern cannot be visited with suitcases or luggage.
- Food and drinks are not allowed inside the cistern.
- Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is strictly prohibited inside the cistern.
- Entry with pets is prohibited.
* Please Note
- There may be water dripping from the ceiling due to humidity, which can damage your electronic devices upon contact with liquid. Please be cautious.
- The inside of the cistern is dark and the floor is slippery. Please be careful.
- The stairs at the entrance and exit of the cistern, as well as the walkways inside the cistern, are not suitable for walking with high heels.
- Hold onto the handrails when going up and down the stairs at the entrance of the cistern.
- The railing levels inside the cistern are low, leaning on the railings is dangerous and prohibited.
